Clean room, nice location, friendly enough staff.
Tiny room. Only one power outlet, and its in the washroo am! Loud! I didnt get a good night of sleep for 3 days, as I could hear everything from the hallway and the other rooms, showers, sinks etc. Head of bed was 2ft from nois, busy hallway. Kettle provided barely fits under tap, funny! Motion detecting light above entrance would light up in the middle of the night when I turned in bed, yay!! Design flaws like this...had me laughing but also disturbed my stay. Especially for the price.

Good location - 5 mins walk from the Airport bus stop at City Hall and the City Hall station and 10 mins walk from Myeongdong area. Room is clean and tidy. Convenience store and restaurants nearby.
Room is too small.

The staff here were accommodating and good, and the location in an alley was convenient, being just a 10-15 minute walk from Culver's fast food restaurant.

central location, although a bit hard to find. friendly and helpful staff.
– the bathroom was smelly and the shower head holder was loose. very small room without any windows, but nice interior design. – the wifi didn't work in our room, only in the central area. cable (ethernet) internet was working in the room. – the room was extremely hot due to the non regulatable floor heating and could only be cooled by turning the a/c on (which is a ridiculous waste of electricity in february with outside temperatures of –10 degrees) – the breakfast spread was minimal considering it was called a continental breakfast and one had to walk to the other irene hotel

Its central location. Walking distance to major market and easy access to bus and metro lines.
Room Service option to be incorporated with menus for late night dinning. The local resturants around hotel create so much of aroma the hotel corridor smells with the same aroma.

I recently stayed at Hotel Irene City for 6 nights during my trip to Seoul. The location was perfect, with many attractions within walking distance. Checking in was a breeze and the staff even allowed me to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after a long journey. Despite the room being small, it had all the necessary amenities and even had English movie channels on the TV. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I do recommend this hotel.

The location is excellent with lots of bars and restaurants around the area. Also, many of the popular Seoul areas are within walking distance, or just one metro stop away. The room was clean and nice. But we would not stay here again.
We were very happy with the room and location of the hotel, but we would not stay here again. There was a motion sensor in our room so that every time we rolled over in bed, the lights would flip on. Also, the heat was on full blast (and we could not control it) so we had to also run the air conditioner. I think the hotel may run a zoo, or have a bowling alley on the above floor, because it was so incredibly loud all night long with crashing and banging. My husband and I got the worst night sleep ever. I think the rooms may actually be made of cardboard.
